Large Driveway having a re-fresh layer of Cotswold stone spread.
Out with the ugly concrete and tired fence, then brought up to date with new block paving complemented with a grey 20mm Quantock stone, a new close board fence replaced the old panels. Lovely customers, thanks for the T’s and cake! Big help from a work colleague on this one.
Old Tarmac removed, the base was leveled and new type 1 stone added where needed, the surface then was compacted and topped off with 20mm shingle, the dog seem to approve!!
A slippery grass slope was overcome by installing ground mats filled with path gravel, not only do the mats give excellent stability to the slope, but they also retain the path gravel from gravity movement.
A time served concrete plinth in front of a garage/store was replaced with new concrete.
An old weed covered waste piece of ground was transformed in to a useful parking/function area by clearing the site of weeds and topsoil constructing a bank with the material, a perimeter linear length of timber sleepers was erected to form a clean edge and to retain the soil bank, hardcore was spread and compacted over a permeable membrane and then topped off with road plannings to provide a clean firm surface.
New Close Board fence to replace an old panel fence incorporating a side gate.
All Soil/debris removed from the edges of this public car-park and brought back to life using new path gravel.
An old driveway from years ago was reformed up a steepish gradient, new drainage was installed and hardcore laid and compacted giving a temporary surface for building work to commence, once the building work is completed more surface water drainage will be added and the Tarmac surface will be laid.
The final phase is now complete of a beautiful garden enhancing the recent build/renovation of a Bungalow in Broadstone, following the pictures through the front has been transformed from a build dump site to an attractive asset, the driveway was relieved of the tired tarmac and replaced with a decorative stone, moving to the back a Graphite indian sandstone patio was built over a natural purbeck stone wall, the pond was dug out and finished in the spring, the last phase has just been completed by adding stone edge borders followed by raised oak timber beds and an upright structure, a feature timber circle was installed giving a unique focal point to the corner of the property, using up the patio stone off-cuts a path was created connecting the patio to the lower seating area.finally Cotswold Cernery stone was added to give the garden a spacious and low maintenance appeal with well stocked shrub beds. The customers off this property have put in considerable time and helpful labour to achieve their goal and i believe few could argue its not been achieved!!!
